Out of Hours School Sports

Playing sport at an early age provides many benefits including the fostering of leadership skills, physical development, good health and the encouragement of an enhanced range of social skills.

At Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish School students are encouraged to practice sporting skills in games and activities during recess and lunch breaks.

School-based sporting activities take place during normal students’ school attendance hours. Students are involved in the Premier's Be Active Challenge and other sporting clinics within our community.

Out of School Hours sport is available for basketball, soccer and netball.  This program relies on the support of parents to volunteer as team coaches.

Students from Years 3-7 may represent the school in one-off carnivals during the year; these can include Swimming, Cross Country Running, Athletics and Netball.  We also participate in SAPSASA sports programme.
